Bond set in narcotics arrest; felony shoplifting reported at Home Depot

Bond for Errick Smith, 47, of Vicksburg, was set at $70,000 for felony drug charges connected with his arrest Tuesday, June 2.

Smith appeared in Vicksburg Municipal Court Wednesday before Judge Angela Carpenter, charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance and one count of sale of a controlled substance.

Carpenter bound him over to the Warren County grand jury.

The Vicksburg Police Department also reported a case of felony shoplifting that occurred Tuesday at the Home Depot on Halls Ferry Road.

Officers were called to the store at 3:16 p.m., where the complainant reported someone pushed a basket full of tools totaling $906 out the front door.
