Bovina Drive railroad crossing to close for cleanup Monday morning

Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace has reported to the Vicksburg Daily News that the railroad crossing on Bovina Drive will be closed Monday morning.

The closure will happen at 5 a.m.. Kansas City Southern Railroad, the Department of Environmental Quality and the E3 Environmental Group will be completing the cleanup near the derailment that occurred on December 21, 2021.

Officials with DEQ and E3 Environmental estimate the project will be completed by mid-afternoon at which time Bovina Drive will be reopened to vehicle traffic.

Warren County Sheriff’s Deputies will be on the scene throughout the cleanup project and this will not hinder access to the local businesses located at the Bovina Exit of I-20.
