VIP Host Dusty Rayborn is one of the key reasons that this event is happening in Vicksburg. Rayborn has worked closely with the promoter, Romero Ali, to make sure everything goes smoothly.

Vicksburg Mayor George Flaggs recruited Ali, which got the fight scheduled here in town.

Could Vicksburg become a town where boxing matches are a regular thing? In the Cut Barbershop owner Anthony “Amp” Rogers, a sponsor of the big event for this weekend, supports bringing more boxing to Vicksburg.

There are some big names associated with this fight including ring announcers and producers Ira Glass and Bob Alexander who are both in the Florida Boxing Hall of Fame.

Some notable people who are expected to be in attendance include Boosie, Jay Z and Beyoncé, who came to Mississippi for the prison reform rally last weekend in Jackson,  LaTavia Roberson,  Vicksburg Mayor George Flaggs Jr. and Gov. Tate Reeves among others.
