Bricks and Spokes event canceled for 2020

Vicksburg’s popular Bricks and Spokes bicycle event has been canceled for 2020.

Organizers announced the cancellation in a social media post Friday.

“Due to the circumstances in our state and county regarding COVID-19 we regret to inform you that this year’s ride has been canceled,” organizers wrote. “A lot of work goes on behind the scenes to put on this event (volunteers, sponsors ($$$), bridge commission, etc;). With the ‘unknown’ of where we will be in October with this pandemic we believe it is prudent to err on the side of caution and cancel the event.

“Please consider supporting Bricks and Spokes 2021 (we will be back)!” WE CAN’T WAIT TO SEE YOU NEXT YEAR! Stay healthy, everyone!”
