Brookhaven man dies in head-on collision

A man died Tuesday in an accident in Hinds County on state Highway 27 north of Old Highway 3, the Mississippi Highway Patrol reports.

Around 5:40 p.m., Grant Nations, 32, of Brookhaven, was traveling north on Highway 27 in a blue 2014 Toyota Corolla when he tried to pass a vehicle making a right turn onto Old Highway 3. Instead, Nations collided with a black 2002 Ford F-350 headed south on Highway 27.

He died of his injuries from the crash.

MHP is investigating the accident.
