Pike county teen allegedly shoots and kills sister

Pike County resident, 19-year-old Emmanuel Patterson was arrested for allegedly killing his sister and barricading himself in a home on Tuesday.

Police were called at around 7:30 a.m. for a shooting in the 1000 block of Highway 48 East in Magnolia where they found the body of 25-year-old Emberly Patterson in the carport, shot multiple times.

Pike County Sheriff’s Office and the Mississippi Highway Patrol gained access inside the house after Patterson barricaded himself inside. At the time of his arrest, he was out on a $70,000 bond for an attempted murder charge in Magnolia.
