A hunting cabin on Dudley Road in south Warren County had volunteer firefighters working hard in the summer heat. Cabin owner Rodney Allen stated no one was in the cabin when it ignited. He believes it’s likely a window air conditioner started the fire as it was the only electrical device running at the time.

A neighbor called 911 after hearing an explosion. He looked at his window and saw flames shooting out of the structure. The intense power of the fire blew the window out as it fought for more air.

After firefighters extinguished the raging fire, what they saw amazed them. “This fire was partially contained because this structure was so well built,” Chief Josh Davies said at the scene.

Fortunately, the cabin was unoccupied, and there are no injuries.
