Calligraphy Workshop to Begin at SCHC in August

“Calligraphy – The Art of Beautiful Writing” That’s the name of the workshop coming next month to the Southern Cultural Heritage Center. The four part workshop will take place on Thursdays during the month of August (August 4, 11, 18 & 25). Each class will begin at 5:30 pm and end at 7 pm. The workshop is designed around a stroke by stroke, easy to learn method that gives the basic skills needed to become proficient in the calligraphic artform with practice. The cost for this creative 4-day workshop is $95 SCHF Members and $115 non-members and all supplies are included. The instructor, Ms. Cecil Evans, has been teaching the Chancery Cursive alphabet for 20+ years, both in private lessons and group lessons as well as having successfully given internet based lessons.
