Cam Newton signs with the Patriots

The New England Patriots have signed free agent Cam Newton to a one year deal to replace Tom Brady who joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers a couple of months ago.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter made the announcement just moments ago on Twitter.
Former NFL MVP Cam Newton has reached agreement on a one-year, incentive-laden deal with the New England Patriots, league sources tell @mortreport and me.
Newton now will step into the mix to try to help replace former Patriots’ QB Tom Brady.

Newton is the former 2010 Heisman Trophy winner from Auburn University who has spent his career with the Carolina Panthers. He will now compete for the starting quarterback position against teammates Jarrett Stidham and Brian Hoyer.
