As of 5:25 p.m., Fisher Ferry and LeTourneau Fire Department units are responding to the 8200 block of Campbell Swamp Road to a house that was struck by lightning.

The homeowner is reporting a smell of electrical-type smoke in the structure.  Wary of going outside due to the weather, the homeowners took shelter in their garage awaiting first responders.

First arriving units reported that no smoke was immediately visible.  They will proceed to inspect the property and neutralize threats, leveraging the use of a thermal imaging camera to make sure there is no hidden fire smoldering.

There has been significant wind and heavy rain across the southern end of Warren County within the past hour. There are reports of significant power outages in these areas.

We will update this story with additional information as it becomes available to us.
