Camper explodes, catches flames near Bovina

A camper exploded and caught fire on Marie off of Highway 80 near Bovina on Monday afternoon.

Numerous units from Bovina and Culkin, with assistance from WC15, Erich Jerscheid, arrived on the scene and worked together to extinguish the fire.

A tree which fell during Sunday’s storms made getting to the scene difficult.

The cause of the explosion is unknown and is currently under investigation.
