Camper fire on 61 North

Sunday evening at approximately 7:13 p.m., Warren County Fire Service responded with the Valley Park Fire Department, just inside Issaquena County for a camper fire on Highway 61 North.

Jeff Riggs, a spokesman with Warren county fire service reported members from Culkin, Northeast, and the Fisher Ferry Fire Department responded to the fire.

A family returning from Louisiana en route home to Arkansas noticed smoke coming from their camper when they pulled over to investigate and found the camper was on fire.

The family disconnected their pickup truck from the camper to safety. No one was injured.

The camper was a total loss and the cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
