Cantin set to be a major threat for PCA softball

Porter’s Chapel Academy softball player Natalie Cantin is a rising junior who is ready to help carry her team to new heights in 2023.
“I’m feeling good about this year, especially with the people we have coming up, and we’re operating more as a team,” Cantin said.
Last season, Cantin was one of the top batters in the county as she racked up 15 hits, 10 RBIs, with a .395 batting average. She was also selected to the All-District Team, along with the VDN All-County Team.
“Honestly, I batted well, but that’s not as good as I could be, so I’m going to work as hard as I can to get to where I need to be,” Cantin added.
Cantin spent her summer leading Gary Jones’ softball team to an undefeated season, and she will now be under the leadership of Carlos Dawson at PCA.
“We have a lot to learn from Coach Dawson, and with the new staff he’s bringing in, I’m confident that we’ll do great,” she added.
PCA’s season will begin on August 1 when they host Wilkinson County Christian.
