Car chase resulted in crash on Highway 80 and Green Hill Road

A car chase on Highway 80 and Green Hill Road resulted in a crash where the suspect’s vehicle overturned.

According to Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace, the vehicle “sped past a marked sheriff’s unit in the Bovina community at a high rate of speed, driving very recklessly.”

A second unit tried to initiate a stop, but the suspect, driving a white Ford pickup truck, failed to yield.

Sheriff Pace stated the driver completely lost control of the vehicle, resulting in it overturning.

Sheriff Pace stated the driver was injured, checked out on the scene and is in custody.

Mississippi Highway Patrol is in charge of the scene.

No other injuries were reported.
