Car collided with dump truck on U.S. Highway 80 in Warren County

A passenger car collided with a dump truck on U.S. Highway 80 east of Mt. Alban Road Sunday at around 2 p.m.

Upon arrival, first responders found a female and a child with injuries. Both are being transported to Merit Health River Region with non life threatening injuries.

Warren County deputies Thomas McBride and Daniel Thomas along with Sheriff Martin Pace all responded to the scene.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol has dispatched a trooper who will be in charge of the investigation.

The dump truck is owned by Brown Trucking of Redwood.

Both lanes of Highway 80 are blocked due to this accident.  Please choose an alternate route.
