Car Crashes into Building; Driver Flees the Scene

A vehicle lost control and slid into a building on Bowmar at Drummond.

Early this morning, a sedan was eastbound on Bowmar and appears to have lost control. The vehicle slid into a building at the corner of Bowmar and Drummond, with the driver’s side making an impact. Skid marks on the road indicate the vehicle slid into the building.

When police arrived at the scene at around 5 a.m., the vehicle was empty. Evidence at the scene, including cameras pointed directly at the intersection, indicate the driver was injured. Another vehicle may have picked up the driver of the wrecked vehicle.

Police are reviewing the camera footage of the crash.

UPDATE – the driver of the vehicle, a 26-year-old-female, returned to the scene around 6:45 a.m. and requested medical attention.
