Car wash to support MS Core Magic AAU basketball team

The Mississippi Core Magic AAU basketball club is hard at work today, Saturday, April 30, at O’Reilly’s on Clay Street washing cars to raise funds for their team.

The wash is going on until 4 p.m. and priced $10 for cars and $20 for trucks.

“We’re teaching them how to take pride in what they’re doing,” said Louis Green, a team parent on hand at the fundraiser. “My father once told me if you do a good job on something you do, word of mouth will travel for you.”

Proceeds will help the team pay for travel, uniform, game fees and other expenses.
