Mississippi’s own Chapel Hart was eliminated on America’s Got Talent on Wednesday night but still wowed the crowd and finished in the top 5.

Sisters Danica and Devynn Hart and cousin Trea Swindle won over the crowd again during the show’s season finale in a performance with country singer Darius Rucker.

On July 19, the country music trio wowed America on stage and received the Golden Buzzer from all the judges and Terry Crews.

The group won the judges and audience over with their upbeat approach and their original country song, “You Can Have Him Jolene”. The song is an updated version of the Dolly Parton classic from 1973.

“We figured though that from 1973 to 2022 we could not still be fighting over the same man,” said lead singer, Danica Hart. “So we decided you can just have him, Jolene.”

Chapel Hart has been enjoying a lot of attention since that night and drew a crowd when they performed at the pavilion at Founders Square at the Neshoba County Fair on July 23.

The trio advanced to the finale after their Aug. 17 performance of the song “The Girls Are Back In Town.”

Chapel Hart and Yu join saxophonist Avery Dixon and country singer Drake Milligan were the three acts performing in the two-day finale.
