Charges dismissed against state trooper accused of domestic violence, harassment

Charges have been dismissed for a Mississippi Highway Patrol trooper accused of domestic violence and harassment.

According to a report by WTVA, Steven Jones was arrested on Dec. 8 by the Tuscaloosa Police Department.

Charges were dismissed without explanation last week by Tuscaloosa City Prosecutor Hudson Cheshire.

Jones has since returned to active duty.
