Charlene Brewer Richie, 1937 – 2023

Charlene Brewer Richie, 85 yrs old, of Vicksburg, MS, passed away at home on February 21, 2023.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Stacey Fogas Gulledge, her father, C.W. Brewer and mother, Midget (Jennings) Chappell, her stepfather, George Chappell, and her siblings, C.W. (Buddy) Brewer Jr. and Nancy Watts Haven.

She is survived by five children; Brenda Lafitte, Midgette Bobb (Kelly), Rodney Richardson Sr. (Donna), Susan Fogas Lombana, Cynthia Weil (Terrill), her siblings, Shirley Roe, Gerald Brewer, George D. Chappell, a special aunt, Polly Magee, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Charlene will especially be remembered for her staunch faith in Jesus Christ and his power to save and for her fierce love of her six children, for whom she was both, mother and father.

A Memorial service will be held Saturday, March 11 at noon at the Braxton Community Center located at 219 West Main, Braxton, MS.
