Charles Ray Brooks Jr., 1999-2023

Charles Ray Brooks Jr. (CJ) passed away on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at the age of 23 years old. He was born in Vicksburg, MS on November 28, 1999. CJ enjoyed hunting, fishing, mud riding and hanging out with his friends. He loved his family. He will be greatly missed.

He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Charles Brooks, Lloyd Palmer, Robert Gladwell and John Hartley; grandmother, Janice Brooks.

He is survived by his parents, Charles Ray and Carol Palmer Brooks; daughter, Aria Evelyn Brooks; brothers, Michael Brooks and Nicolas Brooks; sister, Courtney Stump and Candi Brooks; grandmother, Betty Palmer; nieces and nephews, Hayden Brooks, Khloe Brooks, Sienna, Kayloni, Athena and River Brooks.

Pallbearers will be Nicolas Brooks, Michael Brooks, Hayden Brooks, Neal Pryor, Justin Moore, Marty McDougal, Hunter McDougal and Hayden McDougal. Honorary pallbearers will be Brandon Palmer and Payton Edwards.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 28, 2023, at Glenwood Funeral Home.  Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of the service.  Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
