Checkout a few games from VGSA on Monday night
The Vicksburg Girls Softball Association popped off their season on Monday night.
Vicksburg Fire Chief Derrick Stamps, Sr., came in to throw the first pitch and earned a couple of strikeouts.
Last night, several games were played, and the majority of them were close.
Gary Jones defeated Tarver Insurance 5-4 during the first game of the night.
Raegan Thornell had a couple of hits along with Crawley Haller who went 2 for 2. Mageigh Haller helped tie the game at three with a line drive late in the game.
Natalie Cantin also got two hits and one RBI. Kyleigh Cooper got three hits while also pitching for two innings where she struck out five batters. Cierra Irwin brought in the final two runs for GJ with a nice hit.
Wells & Lahatte earned a 4-2 win over Kirk Brothers Ford.
The game remained close with each team making big plays.
Hair Envy got a 6-2 win over Vollor & Herring last night where multiple walks ruled the game.
Raegan Dean struck out three batters and she also had one hit. Addi Mullen and Kabria Hodge also had a hit.
Grey Wolfe got the final win of the night against Caffe’ Paradiso with a final score of 7-5.
Lexi Ables got a triple on the night while Kinsley Luke struck out three batters. Audrey Carraway also struck out two batters in the win.
