Cheryl Ann Blakely, 1945 – 2021

Cheryl Ann Blakeley was born on March 6, 1945 and passed away on Nov. 16 at the age of 76 at her residence in Vicksburg, MS after a long battle with ovarian cancer.
Mrs. Blakeley was a graduate of Redwood High School, received a bachelor’s degree from Mississippi State University, and a Master’s Degree from Troy State University. She retired from the Army Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) after 55 years of long and dedicated service.
She is survived by her husband, Terry Blakeley of Vicksburg, MS; two daughters, Cynthia Lee of Huntsville, AL and Kimberly Garcia of Vicksburg, MS; two step-children, Colleen (Brad) Morrow and Sean (Cristiane) Blakeley of Dallas, TX; one brother Bill (Anna) Jones of Vicksburg, MS; one sister-in law, Gwen (Earl) Edris of Vicksburg, MS; three grandchildren, Garrison and Mackenzie Lee of Dothan, AL and Landrie Garcia of Vicksburg, MS; one great-granddaughter, Grayson Lee; and numerous nephews and one niece.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Lee and Dolly Mae Jones; and her brother, Bobby Lee Jones, all from Vicksburg, MS.
Cheryl was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and a doting aunt. She is loved by her family and friends and will be missed dearly.
A memorial service will be held at Gibson Memorial United Methodist Church on Nov. 22 at 11 a.m.
