Chief Danczyk thanks conference team

The Vicksburg Fire Department and Vicksburg Convention Center celebrate hosting five Mississippi Fire Chiefs and Firefighter Conferences (2005, 2008, 2011, 2017, & 2019) at the Vicksburg Convention Center. The assembled team took a break from their busy day to pose for the cameras of local media.

Fire Chief Craig Danczyk said: “We had record attendance and vendor participation at our 2019 Annual Conference. Our attendees had great things to say about our downtown, restaurants, specialty shops and convention center. We also hope to host again in 2021 and showcase Vicksburg, our vibrant downtown and all other unique destinations in our hometown. This is a tremendous economic impact on the City of Vicksburg.”

The conference held in late May and early June filled local hotels with firefighters from all over the state. Local restaurants and shops reported some of their busiest periods as a result of the conference being held in Vicksburg this year. The Convention Center team is working with Chief Danczyk and his team to bring the conference here again in 2021.
