Child murderer Lisa Crevitt up for parole

A Vicksburg woman who was convicted of killing her toddler is up for parole and will have a hearing in February.

58-year-old Lisa Ameen Crevitt is currently serving a life sentence for the 1985 murder of her 2-year-old daughter Jennifer Nicole Crevitt.

Lisa initially told authorities that her child had been abducted from a shopping mall. Three days later, the toddler’s body was found on the bank of the canal near the U.S. Highway 61 bridge. She then admitted to taking LSD and tossing her child into the river canal.

Lisa has been in prison since Sep. 9, 1985, and has been denied parole several times.

Crevitt’s ex-husband Justice Court Judge Jeff Crevitt, has been outspoken over the years on how he doesn’t want Lisa released from prison.

Thursday night, he made a Facebook post urging individuals to write to the parole board in support of Lisa never being released.
