City and county renewing emergency response agreement
The Vicksburg Fire Department is renewing its agreement to extend emergency services to Warren County.
Under an agreement between the City of Vicksburg and the Warren County Board of Supervisors, emergency services that have been provided on a limited basis will continue to extend into the county as needed. The current agreement expires Sept. 30.
Included in the agreement are ambulances, rescue services, HAZMAT response and dive rescue.
The new agreement, which was signed by the Warren County Board of Supervisors Tuesday, awaits the signature of Mayor George Flaggs Jr. and goes into effect pending the approval of the Mississippi Attorney General.
