City of Vicksburg donates surplus vehicle to Anguilla

The City of Vicksburg made a generous donation today of a truck to the city of Anguilla, Mississippi.

North Ward Alderman Michael Mayfield Sr stood alongside city workers Ann Grimshell, Rusty Garner, and Anguilla Mayor Jan Richards Pearson.

“We’re so appreciative of your donation and your kindness,” Mayor Pearson said. “We just thank God that you found it in your heart and blessed us and we are truly grateful.”

The process of having the vehicle donated had to be taken in front of the board of Mayor and Alderman and it has to be surplus and get permission to be given to a needed town.

The truck was said to still be in good condition and the city was more than happy to bless a smaller town to help with everyday needs.
