City of Vicksburg recognizes Hung Nguyen for 20 years of service

The City of Vicksburg recognized one of its police officers Monday for 20 years of service to the community.

Investigator Hung Nguyen, who goes by John, was publicly recognized by the Vicksburg Board of Mayor and Aldermen for serving the Vicksburg community since the year 2000.

“He wears the badge with high honor, and we thank God that he continues to be with us, and we wish him the best,” said Mayor George Flaggs Jr.

Nguyen was also honored in September for being one of six officers involved in a drug bust that collected $25,000 in cash, guns and drugs.
