Someone posted on social media that the city was shutting down water due to the large number of water leaks caused by the storm.
That is not true. A quick look at the City’s Facebook page will confirm that. For extra measure, the Vicksburg Daily News contacted the mayor’s office to verify there are no plans to kill water to the city.
There are isolated incidents where repairs are being made, but the city will keep the water flowing.
Please do not spread rumors during this time. Things are difficult enough.
