Claiborne County drowning victims identified

A double drowning occurred in Claiborne County Sunday afternoon at The Ark, which is about four miles south of the Port Gibson city limits off U.S. Highway 61.

Mississippi Wildlife and Fisheries and Parks recovered both victims, who have been identified as a father and son, Antonio Anderson, 46 and Jamarcuus Anderson, 26.

Reportedly, the two were fishing when their boat capsized.

Claiborne County Coroner J.W. Mallett was summoned to the scene, and Warren County officials including Fire Coordinator Jerry Briggs were on scene to assist.
