Claiborne County inmate found dead in cell

The Claiborne County Sheriff Department announced the death of an inmate at Claiborne County Jail.

Claiborne County Sheriff Department stated Carl Lee Thomas, 67, was found unresponsive in his cell at 8:28 a.m on Sep. 4.

The Mississippi Bureau of Investigations led an investigation which determined that Thomas died of natural causes.
