Clay Street at I-20 to close over the weekend

The Mississippi Department of Transportation announced a temporary closure of Clay Street over the weekend.

The westbound lanes of Clay Street at Interstate 20 in Vicksburg will be closed from 6 p.m. on Friday, Sep. 23 until 6 a.m. on Monday, Sep. 26.

The closure allows work crews to straighten a steel girder on the bridge that carries the I-20 eastbound ramp over Clay Street.

Motorists should plan an alternate route during the closure timeframe.
