Clinton welcomes movie crew to town

The neighboring city of Clinton, Mississippi, is welcoming a movie crew to town beginning Monday.
The city beat out several locations in the Magnolia State and even more in the state of Washington to be the site of a new Lifetime movie.
The film, “Teacher’s Watching,” is a biopic about a woman, Izzy Fletcher, struggling to balance her inner demons and fend off a foe that threatens her family’s very survival, according to a news release from the City of Clinton. Izzy is relocating to Clinton for a high-tech job.
The movie crew is set to start filming in Clinton on Monday, and Florida-based Hillionaire Productions is looking for about 40 extras to play parents and children for a school scene scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 31. To find out how to qualify, visit the Clinton website.
Several locations around Clinton will be used in filming including Olde Towne, Town Spring Park, Lion’s Club Park, Clinton Park Elementary, Clinton High School cross-country trails, Southpointe Business Park, Gore Art Gallery, local houses and Mississippi College.
