Colenburg knocks down six 3-pointers to lead VHS over Murrah

Vicksburg High School girl’s basketball team made a big comeback against Murrah to take home a 47-45 win.

Down 30-10 at halftime, the Missy Gators found their groove in the second half with the help of Ja’Na Colenburg. Colenburg knocked down six 3-pointers, with assists from Janiah Caples and Layla Carter.

With 5:37 led in the game, VHS went to a full court man-to-man to contain the Mustangs. Colenburg would tie the game at 40 with a 3-pointer as the Missy Gators scored a total of 37 points in 14 minutes to win 47-45.

JV Game:

VHS won 28-22 with Cynia Johnson leading the way with 12 points followed by Dajah Morton who scored six.
