Combine on fire in field near Halls Ferry and MS Hwy. 27

A large farm combine is on fire in a corn field in the south part of Warren County.

The Fisher Ferry Fire Department volunteers are on the scene trying to get set up to put out the remote fire.

The call came in about 7:30 p.m. that a combine was on a fire way out in the field. First responders are there fighting heavy dust due to the lack of rain to reach the fire. The combine operator reported the fire stating it was threatening the corn field. If the cornfield ignites, there are several structures that could be threatened by the blaze.
