Cook hits the game winning shot to give the Lady Flashes a 32-30 win over ACCS

St. Aloysius girl’s basketball team grabbed a 32-30 win on Friday night against Adams County Christian School.
Emily Cook got the Lady Flashes on the board early in the game as they trailed 8-7 in the first quarter. By halftime, St. Al took a 19-11 lead after shots made by McKenzie Cole and Falyn Lusby along with a 3-pointer by Taryn Lusby.
Maddy McSherry got the Lady Flashes on the board twice in the third quarter as they maintained a 25-21 lead heading into the fourth quarter.
Madi Matthews also got a big shot late in the game and with the game tied at 30, Cook hit the game-winner to secure the victory for St.Al.
Taryn Lusby led with eight points while Cook and McSherry both put up six. Falyn Lusby, Matthews and Cole all added four points.
The Lady Flashes will host Copiah Academy on Tuesday.
Boy’s Game:
The Flashes took a 58-39 loss to ACCS as Ahmad Stewart led with 12 points and Carter Henderson put up eight while Carson Gleese scored six.
