St. Aloysius softball players Kyleigh Cooper and Maddy McSherry helped led the Lady Flashes to a 7-5 victory on Tuesday against Vicksburg High School.

Cooper pitched the entire game for the Lady Flashes and came up with eight strikeouts in the win against VHS.

Though the game started out in VHS’s favor, the Flashes were able to come back from a fourth inning 5-1 deficit.

McSherry had a triple on Tuesday which resulted in two run scores to help the Lady Flashes take the lead. She also went 3 for 3 at the plate.

Both Cooper and McSherry are coached by Savannah Buck and are looking to have an impact season in the fall.
