Corinth babysitter charged with death of 2-year-old, abusing 11-month-old

A Corinth babysitter is facing capital murder and felony child abuse charges for two children she was responsible for.

According to a report by WLBT, Alcorn Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a call to County Road 380 in Corinth on Tuesday.

Upon arriving, deputies found a small boy unresponsive and an 11-month-old girl with injuries. The children were quickly taken to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis where the boy was reported to have died. The 11-month-old was last reported in stable condition.

Authorities have identified 23-year-old Makallie Durham as the suspect in the case.
