The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Vicksburg District has closed several recreation areas at Grenada Lake along with several boat ramps and restroom buildings at Sardis Lake due to seasonal timelines and current lake levels.

Areas closed at Grenada Lake for the end of the season include Blue Hole/Haswerway Wildlife Management Area and Old Fort Day Use Area. Boat ramps at the North Abutment, North Graysport, Gums Crossing and Bryant recreation areas are currently unusable due to lake levels caused by the recent drawdown, but the rest of the areas’ respective recreation features remain open. Eagle Point Campground remains closed due to damage from high water.

Boat ramps closed at Sardis Lake include Hurricane Landing, Coontown Crossing, Walker Landing, Cole’s Point, Pat’s Bluff, Wyatt’s Crossing and Clear Creek due to lake levels caused by the recent drawdown.

Several recreation areas located around Sardis Dam have been closed for the season including: Main Beach, Paradise Point, Cypress Point, and the campgrounds at Elmer’s Hill and Beach Point. The campgrounds at Clear Creek and Hurricane Landing remain open.
