Cousins Donovan Coleman and Ronnie Blossom to face off at the Red Carpet Bowl

Family ties will be tested on the gridiron during the Red Carpet Bowl Friday night when Warren Central High School hosts Clinton.
Cousins, Ronnie Blossom (representing WC) and Donovan Coleman (playing for CHS) will share the field for the first time since their junior high school days. Both are determined to clinch a win for their respective teams.
Coleman has asserted his dominance in the secondary for Clinton over recent years, shining in his role as a defensive back. Last season, he amassed 44 tackles, secured two interceptions, and deflected two passes. With such achievements, he’s ranked among the top cornerbacks in Mississippi.
Coleman played a pivotal role in guiding the Arrows to the second round of the playoffs in 2022. As a new chapter unfolds tonight, he’s set to face off against his cousin at 7 p.m.
On the opposite side, Blossom has carved out a reputation as a force to be reckoned with on the defensive line. Renowned for bulldozing past any offensive lineman, he anchored WC’s defense last year, guiding them to the second round of the playoffs and tallying an impressive 85 tackles and six sacks.
As time has progressed, Blossom’s skills have only sharpened. He was named MVP of the MSA Future Elite Game, and just last week, in a scrimmage against North Pike, he executed a significant sack that was converted into a touchdown.
Blossom and Coleman will converge on the same field in mere hours. Despite their family bond, they’ll each have a singular focus: securing victory for their team at the Red Carpet Bowl.
