Craft arrested for Claiborne County manslaughter

A man wanted out of Claiborne County has been arrested and charged with manslaughter by negligence and leaving the scene of an accident.

On Wednesday, the Claiborne County Sheriff’s Department took to social media to as for the public’s assistance in locating Tyrese Craft.

Craft is accused of leaving the scene of a crash that resulted in the death of Shakelia Ellis.

Craft was taken into custody on Thursday at River Region while seeking treatment for injuries.

He was arrested by Claiborne County Sheriff’s Department with assistance from the Vicksburg Police Department and Warren County Sheriff’s Office.

He is set to be in court on Saturday.
