Crash victim airlifted to UMMC after vehicle ejection

A vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 3 resulted in the driver being air lifted to the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

Friday night, an automobile lost control on Highway 3 northbound, near Highway 61 and crashed, landing on it’s side. The driver was thrown from the vehicle and treated by paramedics on scene until AirCare arrived to transport them to UMMC.

The incident restricted traffic through the area while the scene was being worked by local first responders.

Updates on the victim’s condition and identity is unknown at the time of this reporting.
