Crime and Discussion Group Posts Amazing Growth

Cambria Frantz said she knew there was a need for a positive place on social media to discuss our community.  But she had no idea there were so many people wanting to join.  She formed the Facebook group ‘Crime and Discussion Rejects’ on May 30th and in 3 weeks it has grown to almost 4000 members.

The group was formed, she said, because of the harsh moderation of a similarly named group.  ‘They were just so mean-spirited and kicked people off the page for no reason.  They even went so far as to kick people off of their page for joining this new page.  They really helped us grow’ said Frantz.  Many people have complained that the old group was run by people who are not from Vicksburg.  The new positive group is administrated by long time community members.

The new group is a place to keep your neighbors informed of community events and, yes, crime.  In an effort to keep the page focused on the positives along with our modern realities of crime, Frantz changed the name of the page to ‘Vicksburg Crime and Community Events‘.  You can click the link to see the page and join if you wish.
