Crime Report

Lt. Johnnie Edwards with the Vicksburg Police Department has reported the following:

– July 29, 9:56 p.m. a report of shots fired in the area of Ford Street. Officers responded and found no evidence of shots being fired.

– July 29, 10:35 a.m. a report of an auto burglary in the 2000 area of Highway 61 South near the River City Body Shop. A 1995 Ford F-150 that was disabled on the side of the road. Someone stole a three-ton Preston jack, a black bag with miscellaneous tools and also the battery out of the vehicle

– July 30, 6:21 a.m. officers served a warrant and a search warrant for Derrick Dixon, 41. He was charged with two counts of sale of cocaine and one count of possession of cocaine with intent. He will appear in Vicksburg Municipal Court around 10 a,m. on Wednesday, July 31.
