On February 2, 2011 at 12:03 pm VPD arrested Earl Scriven, age 50, of 2430 Oak Street for Third Offense Shoplifting at the Super Ten located at 1509 Washington Street. Scriven is accused of stealing 2 cans of Vienna Sausages valued at $1.28. Scriven’s was held on a $2,500.00 bond.
At 10:10 pm VPD arrested Marvin Reed, age 30, of 210 Easy Street for Felony Eluding and Littering. Officers attempted to stop Reed’s 2004 Dodge Ram pickup at Cherry and China Street’s after an officer observe a Seagram’s Gin bottle thrown from the vehicle. Reed then proceeded south on Cherry, turning west onto Monroe then east on Jackson then onto MLK before having a single vehicle crash at MLK and Mission 66. Reed was transported to River Region where he was treated and released. Reed was placed in the Warren County Jail with No Bond pending an arraignment on February 4, 2011. The other passengers in the vehicle were uninjured and released with no charges.
