A break in a water line caused a loss of pressure in the system at Culkin Water District, resulting in a boil advisory being issued for many of their customers.

Customers in the following affected areas are advised to vigorously boil water for at least two minutes before consuming it or using it for cooking:

  • 1700 to 2903 block of Birdsong Road
  • Browley Road
  • Freeman Lane
  • 9050 to 12030 block of Freetown Road
  • Loredo Drive
  • Nelson Road
  • Old Pettway Road
  • Pennebaker Road
  • Stockton Drive
  • Venable Lane
  • Walton Lane
  • 100 to 800 block of Youngton Road

The district says they will submit samples for testing at the state lab as soon as pressure is restored to the affected customers.  The boil advistory will remain in place until water is confirmed to be free of contaminants.
