In a second incident, officers stopped a vehicle on North Frontage Road for a curfew violation on Friday, March 27, at 4:13 a.m. The driver, Franklin Barrett, 53, of Crystal Springs, Miss., was in possession of methamphetamine.

Wilson and Barrett both appeared before Judge Angela Carpenter in Vicksburg Municipal Court on Friday, March 27.

Wilson was charged with one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm, and Carpenter set his bond at $30,000.

Barrett was charged with one count of possession of methamphetamine. His bond was set at $40,000.

Both suspects were bound over to the Warren County grand jury.

In an unrelated incident, Vicksburg Police officers responded to a residence in the 300 block of Evergreen Drive in reference to an auto burglary on Thursday, March 26, at 9:58 a.m. The victim stated that someone went into the center console of a unlocked 2009 Nissan Maxima, stealing $80 as well as the owner’s manual from the glove compartment.
