Dana Road Elementary hosts Touch-A-Truck event for students

Students at Dana Road Elementary School were paid a visit from local first responders on Friday for this year’s Touch-a-Truck/Emergency Vehicle Edition.

Kindergarten through 2nd grade students got an up-close and personal look at a variety of emergency vehicles and equipment.

Culkin, Fisher Ferry and Vicksburg Fire Department were in attendance, as well as Vicksburg Police and Warren County Sheriff’s Office.

John Elfer of Warren County Emergency Services and Miss Barnes Crossing LaRhonda Mack also participated.

The kids got to check out Engines 204 and 302, Ladder 15, Fire Medic 80, and patrol cars.

Students learned about fire safety and the men and women who protect and serve our community every day.
