Dates set for Vicksburg and Warren County elections

The dates have been set for Vicksburg’s municipal elections and Warren County elections for this year.

Municipal elections are run by the City of Vicksburg and only Warren County residents who live within the Vicksburg city limits are eligible to vote in these elections.

• Municipal Primary Election — April 6
• Primary runoffs, if needed — April 27
• General Election — June 8

Qualifying dates for candidates to file for the Municipal Election are from Jan. 4 to Feb. 5.

A Warren County special election to fill the office of county prosecuting attorney will be held Nov. 2.

Qualifying dates for this position have not yet been determined.
