Davenport and Lynch both showed out in their senior season for WC

Floyd Davenport and Preston Lynch both were instrumental in Warren Central football team’s success in 2021 by competing at the top of their game.
Lynch showed off his skills on the offensive side of the ball and became quarterback Jack Wright’s main target.
Lynch led WC in receiving by catching 39 passes and racking up 571 yards receiving with three touchdowns, capping off a successful senior year.
“First I want to thank God for giving me the abilities to play football,” Lynch said. “I would like to thank the Warren Central coaches for helping develop me not only as a football player but as a man, and I’m thankful for my teammates for supporting me throughout my journey.”
Davenport stepped up on the opposite side of the ball where he dominated defensively.
The middle linebacker racked up 126 tackles to lead the team. Davenport had no problem putting running backs into the turf, which kept defenders out of the end zone.
“I had to step my game up every week to make more plays for my team,” Davenport said. “If it wasn’t for my defensive line I wouldn’t be in the right position to make plays.”
Both Lynch and Davenport helped WC make it to the second round of the playoffs under head coach Josh Morgan with a 8-4 record.
